The smartest textile for underwear
100% bamboo viscose – temperature-regulating, antibacterial, breathable and with a feel reminiscent of silk.
Why "bamboo" is a smart choice
Some children sweat more easily, others are sensitive to heat or synthetic fabrics. Our bamboo line is made from 100% bamboo viscose – a particularly soft, breathable material with temperature-regulating properties.
The smooth surface ensures a silky-soft feel, while the material absorbs moisture well and promotes a comfortable skin climate. Bamboo regulates temperature naturally – cooling in summer and warming in winter. This makes it the perfect year-round fiber. Furthermore, bamboo viscose is said to have antibacterial properties, which can contribute to the long-lasting freshness of the textiles.
Like all our fabrics, our bamboo fabric is woven in Italy and carefully processed – for comfortable baby and children's underwear with exceptional lightness.
The subtle sheen of bamboo isn't just an aesthetic embellishment – it's proof of the smooth fiber structure that makes bamboo so skin-friendly. No rough seams, no chafing. For parents who want the luxurious feel of silk without the maintenance.
Frequently asked questions about bamboo
What exactly is bamboo viscose?
Bamboo viscose is a fiber obtained from bamboo and processed into a particularly soft, smooth fabric.
Is bamboo better than cotton?
Both materials have different properties.
Cotton is robust and classically proven.
Bamboo viscose scores points with its exceptional softness and breathability.
The choice depends on what is more comfortable for the individual child in everyday life.
Does bamboo really help if my child sweats a lot?
Yes. Bamboo absorbs up to 3 times more moisture than cotton and wicks it away quickly.
Is bamboo suitable for newborns?
Absolutely. Bamboo is incredibly soft and temperature-regulating – perfect for sensitive baby skin. Many parents choose bamboo, especially for the first few months, because of its silky softness and cooling effect.
Does bamboo feel slippery or synthetic?
No – bamboo feels silky, but not slippery or artificial. It has a soft, natural grip without sliding.
Does bamboo lose its softness after many washes?
With proper care (30°C, no fabric softener, air drying instead of tumble drying), bamboo remains soft even after several washes. Important: Do not tumble dry – this damages the fibers.
Is bamboo viscose truly sustainable or just marketing?
Bamboo is a fast-growing plant. Under suitable conditions, it can grow without the intensive use of pesticides and often requires less artificial irrigation compared to many other fiber plants. Some species grow very quickly and are therefore considered a resource-efficient raw material.
However, the production of bamboo viscose involves chemical processing of the natural raw material. Therefore, the production method is crucial. In modern, closed-loop production systems, the solvents used are largely recovered and reused. This significantly reduces emissions and environmental impact compared to older methods.
Bamboo viscose isn't a miracle material – but with responsible production, it can be a viable alternative to conventional fibers. Transparency in the supply chain and controlled manufacturing processes are crucial. Responsible production is therefore essential – our fabrics are made in Italy and processed under controlled conditions.
